Wren/Chickadee houses

This vinyl wren/chickadee birdhouse is made out of 4" x 4" vinyl.

Entrance hole is 1 1/4" wide. This size will keep bigger birds out and let smaller ones in such as wrens & chickadees.

Vinyl is maintenance-free and will not weather.

Roof is constructed of procell decking.

Floor & mounting post are made of decking material.

This house has a removable roof: simply pull the pin and lift the roof off (you cannot see the pin in this picture).

Outside dimensions: 17" H x 4.5" W x 5.5" W

Mounting: Comes with a 2" x 13" post fastened to the back of the birdhouse which sticks out below the birdhouse 5.5". You can screw or fasten this part to a tree or post.
Since vinyl gets hotter in the sun than wood, we recommend that you mount this birdhouse somewhere where it isn't sunny all the time. Most of the time mounting it in shady areas is not a problem because wrens & chickadees prefer woodlands. If you have no woodlands, you can put up a wooden bluebird nest box, which will also be used by wrens & chickadees.
